Field Assistant

About the Role

Our company is seeking a Field Assistant to support ongoing exploration projects across North-West Queensland. The role involves assisting with diamond, aircore (AC), and reverse circulation (RC) drilling programs across four active projects, ranging from greenfield exploration to advanced resource/metallurgical studies.

This is a FIFO position to Cloncurry or Mount Isa, ideal for candidates based in Queensland or the Eastern States.

Key Responsibilities:

Support drilling operations, including core handling, sampling, and field logistics

Assist in rig setup, demobilization, and site preparation

Record and manage field data and sample collection

Maintain and transport equipment, supplies, and vehicles

Support site safety protocols and adhere to company OHS procedures

Work closely with geologists and contractors to ensure smooth field operations

Requirements:

Prior experience in a Field Assistant, Exploration, or similar role

Exposure to diamond, AC, or RC drilling (preferred but not essential)

Strong physical fitness and ability to work in remote, rugged environments

Valid manual driver’s license (4WD experience preferred)

Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

Ability to work rostered fieldwork (3:1 or similar)

A strong work ethic and ability to work in team-based environments
