Field Assistant

We’re seeking a reliable and experienced Field Assistant to support an upcoming Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling program. You’ll work closely with the onsite geologists to ensure smooth daily operations, from sample collection and processing to maintaining a safe and tidy work area.

This short-term contract is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on fieldwork, has prior experience in exploration support, and can hit the ground running in a remote field environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist with sample collection, labelling, bagging, and dispatch
2. Manage sample recovery and quality control during RC drilling
3. Maintain field camp, core yard, and drill site housekeeping
4. Operate and maintain field equipment and vehicles
5. Record basic data and support the geological team with daily logs
6. Adhere to safety and environmental procedures at all times

Requirements

1. Previous experience on RC or diamond drilling programs preferred
2. Current manual driver’s licence (HR/4WD tickets highly regarded)
3. Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying conditions
4. Demonstrated commitment to safety and teamwork
5. Able to work remotely and follow instructions with minimal supervision
