Practice Nurse

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our friendly general practice clinic on the Northern Beaches. This role is ideal for a nurse who enjoys variety, values patient connection, and thrives in a supportive, community-focused environment.

You'll work closely with GPs and admin staff to provide holistic patient care, manage chronic disease support, and assist in maintaining a high standard of clinical service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct health assessments and care plans (e.g. GPMPs, TCAs, 75+ health checks)
2. Assist with immunisations, wound care, ECGs, spirometry, and other procedures
3. Provide patient education and support for chronic disease management
4. Perform recalls, reminders, and follow-ups as part of care coordination
5. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and assist with accreditation processes
6. Ensure infection control, cold chain, and clinical equipment compliance
7. Collaborate with GPs and reception team for efficient daily workflow

Requirements:

1. Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse (medication endorsed)
2. Previous experience in general practice or primary care (preferred)
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
4. Familiarity with Best Practice or similar clinical software (advantageous)
5. Commitment to patient-centred care and team collaboration
6. Up-to-date with immunisation and CPR certifications
