Locum Cardiologist

About the Opportunity:

A well-established private day surgery in Western Sydney is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Cardiologist to join our team. This flexible opportunity is open to both locum and permanent specialists and offers an immediate start for the right candidate.

You'll work alongside experienced surgical and nursing teams to deliver high-quality diagnostic and procedural cardiology care in a modern, purpose-built facility with strong referral pathways.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct outpatient consultations and cardiac assessments
2. Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures such as ECG, echocardiogram, stress testing, and Holter monitoring
3. Oversee pre-operative and post-operative cardiac evaluations as needed
4. Work closely with anaesthetists and surgical teams to ensure safe patient outcomes
5. Provide ongoing clinical input into the cardiology service delivery model
6. Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation

Requirements:

1. Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Cardiology
2. Current AHPRA Specialist Registration
3. Previous experience in a private practice or day surgery setting (preferred)
4. Excellent communication and patient engagement skills
5. Commitment to clinical excellence and collaborative care
